The type of stand doesn’t matter, as far as the cymbal is concerned. As long as the weight is balanced, any cymbal should be just fine on a boom stand. Certain cymbals will lend themselves to certain stands, depending on how you’ve got your kit set up.
There’s arms they sell that mount to any stand for holding a rack tom. Same as before, a long as the weight is balanced, you’re good.
